Breast prosthesis and lipofilling
In a standard breast augmentation, a prosthesis is usually used. The advantage of this is that a predetermined volume can be added immediately. The quality of prostheses has significantly improved in recent years. It is essential to limit the impact of the prosthesis on the surrounding breast tissues. We often use a hybrid technique: the combination of a prosthesis with lipofilling. By applying lipofilling, we can achieve very natural results.

Aesthetics
Of course, the result must be beautiful and aesthetically pleasing: a well-shaped lower pole, the correct position of the nipple, a full décolletage, and not too much volume on the outside of the breast.

Comfortable
After a breast enlargement, the breast should feel comfortable, just like a natural breast. You should not be hindered in your daily activities, and you should not have the impression that there is "something" in the breast.

Warm
After the placement of the prosthesis, the breast should not feel cold due to the presence of the prosthesis. A good tissue coverage plays a crucial role in this.

Dynamics
A breast must retain its dynamics after augmentation with an implant. The result should not be a "static" volume that "sits" on the chest. The breast should follow the natural positional changes of the body.

Harmony
One must achieve a beautiful harmony between the lower and upper body after a breast enlargement. The body should appear graceful and harmonious.

Stable
After a breast enlargement, it is important that the result remains long-lasting and consistent. It is not intended for you to have to return regularly for adjustments or corrections.
BREAST PROSTHESIS
For and Against
A prosthesis has the advantage of directly adding a specific volume to the breast. This volume is chosen in consultation, and we use 3D simulations to provide an estimate of the final result.
A disadvantage of a prosthesis is that a small incision must be made in the inframammary fold to place the prosthesis. Additionally, a prosthesis remains an artificial material; we try to limit the impact of the prosthesis (for example, by choosing a volume that is not too large and possibly lipofilling to combine with the prosthesis). It is also important to realise that a prosthesis does not last a lifetime and will need to be replaced at some point.
Biocompatibility
Low inflammatory response resulting in less capsule formation and a reduced risk of discomfort or deformation of the breast.
Safety
FDA approval has been obtained and the safety of Motiva implants has been demonstrated in various studies.
Minimal scar
The implants have a high elasticity and can be inserted through a small incision of 3 cm. This is referred to as a "Minimal Scar Technique".
Ergonomics
We can opt for the ergonomic implants from Motiva. The advantage is that there is no need to distinguish between anatomical or teardrop-shaped implants.

In our practice, we use the implants from Establishment Labs (Motiva implants). These implants are of the latest generation and of excellent quality. Moreover, they offer numerous advantages.

Hybride borstvergroting
Bij een hybride borstvergroting worden een prothese en lipofilling gecombineerd. Dit heeft als voordeel dat de prothese in de meeste gevallen voor de spier kan worden geplaatst, wat leidt tot een natuurlijker resultaat.
Het vetweefsel dat hiervoor wordt gebruikt, wordt verkregen door liposuctie, waarna het wordt gezuiverd en in de onderhuidse lagen van de borst geïnjecteerd. Hierdoor ontstaat een mooi en natuurlijk effect. Een bijkomend voordeel is dat de prothese een kleiner volume kan hebben, omdat een deel van het volume wordt aangevuld met lipofilling.
EEN NATUURLIJK RESULTAAT
Hybride borstvergroting
Bij een klassieke borstvergroting wordt er een prothese geplaatst om extra volume te creëren (1). In tegenstelling tot deze methode, combineert een hybride borstvergroting een prothese met lipofilling, waardoor het mogelijk is om een kleinere prothese te gebruiken, aangezien een deel van het volume wordt aangevuld met vetweefselinjecties onder de huid (2).
Wat maakt een borst mooi?
Bij een borstvergroting is het essentieel om bepaalde principes in acht te nemen. Voor een esthetisch aantrekkelijke borst is het belangrijk om te letten op specifieke zones. Een mooie borst heeft een volle onderpool, ("the beauty of the breast is in the lower pole"), een tepel die recht vooruit kijkt of iets omhoog gericht is, een fraai decolleté met een afstand van ongeveer 1.8 cm tussen de borsten, en soepele overgangen van de borst naar de borstkas.

Een hybride borstvergroting biedt talrijke voordelen:
- de prothese wordt prepectoraal (voor de spier) geplaatst, wat resulteert in een natuurlijker en dynamischer uiterlijk
- lipofilling zorgt voor een optimale bedekking van de prothese en verbetert de algehele contour
- de esthetische zones van de borst, zoals het decolleté en de onderpool, worden verfijnd geaccentueerd door lipofilling
- de overgang tussen de borst en de borstkas kan door lipofilling subtieler worden gemaakt, wat bijdraagt aan een harmonieuze uitstraling
- bijkomende liposculptuur van uw lichaamscontouren kan worden gerealiseerd door middel van liposuctie
We zullen uw wensen bespreken en de haalbaarheid ervan beoordelen. Er worden foto's van uw borsten genomen om een 3D-simulatie te maken. Op basis van deze simulatie kunnen we u een idee geven van het verwachte eindresultaat. We zullen de gevolgen van een specifiek volume op het borstweefsel met u doornemen. Het is belangrijk om de impact van een prothese tot een minimum te beperken.
De ingreep vindt plaats onder volledige verdoving in dagopname. Men voert een liposuctie uit (dijen, love handle of buikregio) en nadien wordt het vetweefsel gezuiverd (wassen). Men gaat de prothese inbrengen via een kleine incisie in de borstplooi (3 cm). Nadien voert men bijkomend lipofilling uit met injectie van het gezuiverde vetweefsel in de onderhuidse weefsellagen van de borst.
Het herstel verloopt over het algemeen soepel. Er kan wat ongemak of pijn optreden in de gebieden waar liposuctie heeft plaatsgevonden, maar met standaard pijnstillers is dit goed te beheersen. Dit ongemak kan ongeveer een week aanhouden. Voor uw comfort wordt aangeraden om gedurende drie weken een lipopanthy te dragen. In de eerste weken na de ingreep kan er wat zwelling rond de borsten zijn, en het definitieve resultaat is meestal na ongeveer drie maanden te beoordelen.
U wacht best 6 weken vooraleer intensief sporten te hervatten. U kunt gerust wandelen of fietsen na de ingreep maar vermijd vooral om druk te zetten op de schoudergordel of borstspieren na de ingreep. Tijdens lichte sportactiviteiten draagt u ook altijd best een stevige steunbh.
Het is aan te raden om gedurende zes weken een steunbh te dragen. We adviseren om niet direct op de zij of buik te slapen, omdat dit druk op de prothesen kan uitoefenen en ze kan laten verschuiven. Probeer de eerste twee weken na de operatie in rugligging te slapen met de steunbh aan.
